NRR117: Andrew Kirschner
Severed by the Thought of a Thread C26

Side A is violent tape loop madness over a lush dark drone. Fist through drywall vibes with peace hiding in the corner. Side B is isolated piano and loops to, as the artist says "try to justify the love and hate in the world by everyone".

Andrew has been around for a long time and never to my knowledge has he produced something of such precision and fidelity. A tight 26 minutes of what feels like amplified awkward silence, combining the over bearing intimacy of someone like Joe Colley with the square dealing, hard working approach of much Midwest noise.

This is the sound of a man who needs a break from a world that's literally dying of loneliness. (JC 8/12/19)
