I think a couple of things make this very interesting for those into noise - that Alessandro Cortini ( Nine Inch Nails ) helped in the design and the fact that it allows physical interaction with the process makes in much more than a noise module or processer. I did have a 0-coast
which i think is a great introduction to modular - but the Strega is it would seem far more playable... anyway May is the release date...  ;-)

looks very interesting, does it "basically" process/warp and mix source sound and add effects, right?

Anyone know anything about project called NIVI IRO ?
Not even sure if this release is really Japanese and called that. All hints towards it. From 90's most likely. Sony C-10 tape that were barely available anywhere else but Japan. Typewriter text on labels say NIVI IRO I  and NIVI IRO RO. Packaged in paper envelope consisting some Japanese writing and in postcard size kind of photo-paper package. Holes burned into it. Pretty good field recordings/industrial noise waste sounds, short burst of more harsh stuff, but mostly just eerie and obscure sound.

Closest I can think of would be Iro,

For years the tape I had was I assumed the only one, but there have to be more, and ripoff Juntaro is reissuing their stuff lately.

I am going to sell my Reon Driftbox R, the green version that was released at the same time as the Roland Aira series. Very cool synth packed in a neat little enclosure, small but very sturdy with top notch sound & knobs. All analog, 2 oscillators, filter with self-oscilation, adsr/asr and CV interface (no midi). Ideal for touring or in a small studio. Made in Japan, so high quality! In perfect condition.

Asking €350 for it!

Ships from NL/EU.

Surprised no one mentioned the Widerstand compilation - one of the last of the State Art releases from 2003, but compiled from 1998 to 2003. Two CDs of industrial, but varied enough with Survival Unit, Con-Dom, and Control Resistance rubbing shoulders with the likes of Dream Into Dust and Blood Conspiracy, a one-off featuring Michael Moynihan, Rob. X Patriot, and the fella from Warcom. An interesting track, that one - crude drum machine, ambient-type effects, and semi-processed vocals - but interesting more for the people involved than for the actual result which, while not too bad, isn't exactly the best thing here. However, really good stuff from short-lived projects like Maison Close and Citadel, as well as from Predominance, Orphx, and even 4th Sign Of The Apocalypse! Second disc is probably the better, but very few weaknesses on the first, either.
State Art had a few really good compilations, and this one was another from a time when the 'scene' was probably at its peak.

Unhinged frontman Michael Berdan (Uniform, Drunkdriver) returns to Found Remains with another solo offering, but instead of the EBM dirge of his previous project, Canal Street Electronics, Berdan debuts under his birth name for this power electronics release Graphic Violence.

Recorded and released at the end of the now infamous year of 2020, it’s only fitting Michael Berdan’s Graphic Violence is seething with unapologetic rage and despair. Already dealing with the economic and emotional toll of a global pandemic, Berdan also suffered the loss of his father. Deep in mourning, Berdan naturally began a period of intense introspection from which Graphic Violence comes.

Taking cues from Cold Meat Industry and Slaughter Productions, Graphic Violence is steeped in the clinically cold style of power electronics associated with those labels. Modular soundscapes create a cinematic style of suspense and dread on each song as Berdan alternates between brooding monologues and manic screams. A known horror movie fanatic, Berdan’s love for celluloid and gore stemmed from his father and that influence can be felt and heard throughout Graphic Violence. Grindhouse samples propel the screams of Berdan, and Lucio Fulci inspired collages decorate the release: not only an homage to the genre but, more importantly, an homage to Berdan’s father.
