Title: Next productions: Andrew Coltrane – Urge To Kill, and Planemo #1
Post by: cerebro.morto on April 19, 2011, 03:15:43 AM
Hailing from Detroit, Andrew Coltrane (http://www.discogs.com/artist/Andrew+Coltrane) has been active in the US underground noise scene since 1990. That makes him one of the longest running noise artists in the current panorama, with an extensive discography (over 100 releases) either as himself (Andrew Coltrane, A.C., …), with his free form cacophony project, Cold Turkey (http://www.discogs.com/artist/Cold+Turkey+%283%29), or in colaborations with John Olson (http://www.discogs.com/artist/John+Olson) of Wolf Eyes (http://www.wolfeyes.net/), Heath Moerland (http://www.discogs.com/artist/Heath+Moerland) of Sick Llama (http://www.discogs.com/artist/Sick+Llama), amongst others.

His next release, Urge To Kill, recorded this year, will be out on Cérebro Morto later this month. As with the last Cérebro Morto production, there will be a regular edition in CD-R format, and a special one with only 15 hand-numbered copies available to the public, in cassette format and hand-made package.
Reservations are accepted from now on. The price will be €5 and €15, accordingly. Plus shipping.

Along with Coltrane's release, Cérebro Morto will release the first issue of Planemo.

As with the interstellar body (http://www.space.com/2459-strange-worlds-miniature-solar-systems.html), Planemo is expected to be part of a non resigned culture, spreading artists which share the artistic intentions of Cérebro Morto. Its primary goal will be to further inform anyone interested on Cérebro Morto activities, with interviews to the artists, first-hand announcements, catalogue, and possibly more.
Each issue will be focused on the new release, and will come out alongside it. It will also announce the next artist in line, first-hand.
Planemo will be available for free to anyone who buys an item from the catalogue. Otherwise the price will be €2. Plus shipping.
